On the exclusion of certain dyes from the list of permitted

Based on recent toxicological studies of food additives, some colourants should no longer be used in foods.
According to this directive, the following dyes are prohibited for use as of January 1, 1977:
- E 103 Chrysoine S
- E 105 Fast yellow AB,
- E 111 Orange GGN,
- E 121 Orchil, orcein,
- E 125 Scarlet GN,
- E 126 Ponceau 6R,
- E 130 Anthraquinone blue (solanthrene blue RS),
- E 152 Black 7984,
- E 181 Burnt umber
The marketing of foodstuffs containing one or more of the colouring matters listed in this document shall be prohibited as from 1 January 1978.
